What advice do women always ask you for?
They get caught on plateaus. In that case what you need to do is give yourself a couple of days of rest and bump up your calories by 10 percent. When you lose weight quickly, your body often responds by releasing hormones to increase your appetite and store more fat. That's a survival instinct meant to help us conserve fuel during times of famine. You can outsmart it by eating a little more and resting. That usually helps jump-start your metabolism again.

It’s really getting difficult to squeeze exercise in, especially given my busy schedule! I’ve been working like crazy this past week, so today’s the first time since Friday(?) that I’ve been able to work out. Thank goodness for short routines. In all honesty though, I wish they were more fun.

In the past month I've been working out, I've lost...
I say this because I use two different scales: a Detecto and a digital. I started out 136 on both, and the former reads 134 while the other reads 129. I trust the Detecto more, but it’s just nice looking at the digital. A girl can dream!
I’m so motivated to work out some more!

I did better today, I think. Man, I was sweating and panting so bad at the end of it! It’s much shorter than P90X so I feel the HIIT burn more. It’s nowhere near as fun, though. I wish I had the leisure to work out longer.

I'm going to exercise today. Even if it kills me.

16 November 2011: P90X Shoulders and Arms + Ab...
I struggled to finish today, but I did! I’m really starting to notice a change in my body, even if the scale says otherwise. I guess sometimes you gain before you lose! After all, muscle is heavier than fat :)
I am now one step closer to the goal I set at the beginning of the week, which was to exercise every day. Since I did yoga yesterday, tomorrow I’m doing Plyo. Yay!

I watched the VS Fashion Show from 2005 (Tyra Banks’ last) and I really told myself I really needed to work out today. SO I DID! And I’m gonna make sure to work out every day this week - I’ve been skipping out on Plyo and Yoga.
I can really feel myself getting stronger, but not leaner just yet. I guess it’s a good thing to build up strength so I can do the exercises...

I only did half out of fear of side stitch - I’d eaten a lot for my sister’s birthday party and I felt the need to compensate by working out.
The new semester has started so I really wanna keep it up. Now’s not the time to give up!!

Decided to set some goals today
Not weight goals, just goals in terms of looks. I don’t wanna rely solely on the scale for progress (although it helps).
Ultimately I wanna be between 115 to 120 pounds. Seems heavy for a person my height (5’1.5”), but I’m more muscular than most girls. My other physical goals will be:
A mean six-pack
Nice collarbones
Firm arms
A perky butt
Fit legs
No more double...
So here's the problem with working out at night:
IT KEEPS YOU UP FOR AGES :| UGH It’s 2am where I live and maaaaaaaaaan I can’t sleep at all. Laptop OFF now. Good night!

7 November 2011: P90X Chest and Back
Dear Jesus. I’ve been dreading this one: a workout full of the two moves I fear most, the push-up and the pull-up. GAHHH!! I only finished half, as in til the big one-minute break. I stopped even if I felt I could maybe do more, which is disappointing.
WHAT IS THIS FEAR!
But to be fair, I did more than I expected I could.
